The University of Maine and The Town of Orono: Help fund the proposed Regional Skatepark on Campus

Old Town has offered to match up to $38,000 raised in Orono, and Orono residents have raised $12,000 toward the cause. Orono has partnered with the BBSA to raise the additional $26,000 to complete the match, but Orono has yet to commit any town funds toward the cause.
Our hope is that the town of Orono will step up and commit additional
assistance to this project. Perhaps offering a match of it's own to the
fundraising effort.Old Town has offered to match up to $38,000 raised in Orono, and Orono residents have raised $12,000 toward the cause. Orono has partnered with the BBSA to raise the additional $26,000 to complete the match, but Orono has yet to commit any town funds toward the cause.
The University made a commitment to the Class of 2013 to
site and maintain the park. Unfortunately the class of 2013 recently
backed out of their commitment to raise $46,000 and see the park built
as their class gift.
